The Goodman Community Center, located in Madison’s Atwood neighborhood, is the largest community center in Dane County, serving more than 35,000 people each year. The Center strengthens lives and secures futures through their children’s, youth and older adult programming, as well as the Fritz Food Pantry, which currently serves between 200 and 400 families each week. Each fall, GCC hosts a Thanksgiving baskets drive, providing thousands of Dane County families with everything they need to make a Thanksgiving meal at home. 
 
The Goodman Center is the proud Greater Madison home of Girls Inc., a national organization that develops research-based informal education programs that encourage girls to take risks and master physical, intellectual and emotional challenges. Girls Inc. of Greater Madison serves girls in schools and community centers throughout Madison and its surrounding cities, inspiring these young women to be STRONG, SMART and BOLD.
